HandBookLive Holiday Gift Guide. Part 5 (Gifts for You and your Home)

December 7, 2009
(Disclaimer: We are not getting paid to review or promote these products)

Hi everyone! Hope you are having fun this holiday season, starting to think about Christmas shopping. At HandBookLive we are lucky enough to watch fun product videos all year round, and we wanted to highlight some of our favorite picks for the holiday gifts and share their video handbooks, so you can have fun too! Preview and decide if any of these products will end up under your tree!

The number of companies producing video handbooks for their products grows every day, so we will be bringing you more and more videos to help you choose products based on their features and ease of use, and help you use them without the frustration of reading complicated instructions or following confusing diagrams. Personally I don’t enjoy crowded shopping malls, so previewing products on video is my favorite thing to do. Hope you enjoy it too.

So here are some of the products for “You and your Home” that we find interesting and worth considering. And of course all the products we suggest come with video handbooks on www.HandBookLive.com.

1. ToweLocs® for holding towels by Towelocs.
http://www.towelocs.com Towel locks

This is a nice and practical gift I believe your friends will thank you for. It is decorative and it will keep your towels in place, and it is especially perfect in a holiday kitchen (if your kitchen resembles ours during the holidays). I am always guilty of dropping towels because I don’t pay attention and so they always slip from their towels bars and end up on the floor. So ToweLocs are perfect for me. If anyone wants to give them to me as a gift this Christmas – I will definitely be happy about it. You can learn more about them in the ToweLocs video handbook, but here is a Quick Start chapter.

2. Sniff n Go aromapods by The Sense of Smell
http://www.thesoslab.com aromapod

Here is a handy little gift for someone who is into aromatherapy or simply enjoys a breath of fresh scent. It will literally fit in a pocket. As you can read on Sense of Smell website: “Sniff n Go aromapods provide the health benefits of aromatherapy through an innovative inhaler that’s smaller than a credit card and fits conveniently in your pocket or purse.” I have tried 3 different flavors of aromapods (Sensual, Energize and Calm) and my favorite is Sensual because it has orange peel oil and Jasmine among its oils. Most people would probably like Calm aromapod that has lavender and citrus in it, but I personally do not like the smell of lavender. You can watch complete Snigg n Go Aromapod video handbook or watch this Introduction chapter that shows some other flavor you might like:

3. Nail Station Kit by Rada Pro
http://www.radapro.com nail station kit

I have to be honest – I am not into nails, but most of my friends are. I also remember when working as a figure skating coach, how much teenage girls cared about things like that, so I can imagine it being a perfect gift for a lot of people on your holiday gift list. Nail Station comes with all the fun accessories for doing your nails, and it keeps things neat and organized. You can watch the complete video handbook for RadaPro Nail Station to see how it is used, but here is a brief overview of what comes in this kit:

4. Removable wall stickers/decals by Flair4All.com
http://www.flair4all.com flower wall decals

This is a perfect gift if you want your kids to have fun decorating their rooms, but you don’t want to have your walls repainted every time your kid decides to go for a new theme. This website offers a lot of designs and there are for both, girls and boys. The instructions are pretty simple: peel and stick, but you can watch how it is done in Flair4All video handbook. Here is a quick Introduction to get an idea of what could be done:

5. Dynamo Home refreshment System by Soda Club
http://www.sodaclub.com dynamo

If you are into making your own stuff, this soda maker is great! And it is definitely easier than making your own ice cream… and I used to do that too…
I can imagine it is a lot of fun for the kids too!
Video handbook for Dynamo includes a detailed Basic Features chapter that will tell you more about the system and all the specifications, but here is a quick animation showing how it works:

6. Coffee Savor Stainless Steel Canister with Freshness Valve by Friis
http://www.friiscoffee.com coffee

I am a coffee fanatic, so anything having to do with coffee always perks my interest. I make my coffee every morning, grinding my own beans, and the whole process is almost a ritual in itself – it starts my day. I actually do have Friis coffee container at home and it is part of my routine, along with my French Coffee Press. What makes the Friis Coffee Savor unique? Here is what Friis company says in their own words: “Until now, there has not been a coffee storage canister that eliminates each of the four causes of flavor loss in whole bean and ground coffee—CO2 gases, moisture, light and air. The Friis Coffee Savor releases trapped carbon dioxide gases and blocks out moisture, light and air that destroy the flavor of coffee.”
You need to replace the filter every 2 months and you can see how to properly change the filter in the Quick Start chapter of
Friss video handbook, but here is the chapter explaining more about the benefits and the science behind Friss system:
