Want to make your own feature film?

Enter this competition and Filmaka might help you make that happen. Submit a short to the Feature Film Competition about a given theme. Then vote - along with your fellow members - on all of that round's submissions. Ten Peer to Peer Winners and 5 to 10 Filmaka Selections win $500! Those Entry Level winners will have one month and $1000 to make a follow-up film. The follow-up, or "Jury Level" film, is judged by the Filmaka jury of world-class film professionals.

Every month Filmaka provides a theme to inspire and focus each filmmaker's work and to ensure a level playing field. Be sure to stick to the theme or you may be disqualified.

FRESH START



After 2008, we could all use a fresh start! A chance to wipe the slate clean again, set aside old ideas, old debts, old grievances, and start new. You decide who your Fresh Start story is about, why they need to turn over a new leaf and how they do it.

Your film can be fact or fiction, comedy or drama - as long as it's original, runs 1 to 3 minutes long, and follows our DELIVERY RULES.

Remember to give your Fresh Start film file a fresh, creative name when you upload it. Don't start off the year with a the same old cliched title! All submissions are due by 24:00 hours on Sunday, February 22.
