Users Submit Couch Gag Videos in Honor of the Series’ 20th Anniversary
MySpace, the world’s leading social portal, and FOX announce the launch of “The Simpsons” video contest to celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary. Based on the iconic couch gag from “The Simpsons” opening credits, fans are encouraged to create live-action videos of their own original couch gags and upload them to “The Simpsons” MySpace page at www.myspace.com/thesimpsons.
Beginning today, fans 18 years and over will have the opportunity to submit and share their “Best. Couch Gag. Ever.” live-action videos. On June 22, a Grand Prize winner will be selected by a judging panel including “The Simpsons” producers. The winner and a guest will receive a trip to Los Angeles to attend “The Simpsons” 21st season premiere party, a Home Entertainment System and a custom “The Simpsons” drawing.
Additionally, a Fan Favorite winner will be chosen by users. The MySpace community will rate entries featured in a Video Gallery on the “The Simpsons” page and help select the Fan Favorite winner. The winner will be awarded a "The Simpsons" Prize Pack.
How to Enter:
· Upload entries to www.myspace.com/thesimpsons.
· Entrants may utilize the audio files of the theme song, which can be found on the contest page.
