Are you being spied upon by your own video cameras??

Is your web cam, your laptop camera, or your IP cameras transmitting uncensored video footage of you and your family to strangers over the web? If you have not secured it properly, there is a good chance that you could be spied upon? Do you have a proper password and security setting on your video camera? Are you using the default camera password - something like adminstrator or 123 or Linksys? Check and change it right away.
Even if you have created your own custom password, there is still a chance that a dedicated hacker could find your video camera and then break into it. You might want to make sure that you have your video cameras, your webcams, your video equipped computers, hidden behind a good firewall. Not only can an experienced hacker break into and intercept your video feed, but they can actually get into the camera circuitry and turn off the recording light so you will not even know that you are being spied upon.
These camera security issues are not new. For years, web search sites like Shodan have allowed hackers to find unprotected cameras and other web connected devices. Insecam actually brought all these links into one spot and told the world.
