Movavi launches “tips and tricks” book for amateur video makers
June 11, 2014 – Movavi, a leading multimedia software publisher, has released "Movie-Making in One Hour: Tips for Trouble-Free Video Shooting and Editing", a PDF-format book covering both the theory and practice of basic video capture and editing, as well as the process of creating homemade movies with the help of Movavi Video Suite software. The illustrated e-book can be purchased from the company's website.
The book begins with a description of the basic elements of video editing: readers will learn about different shot types, rules for shooting moving objects, and different types of editing composition. Each step is illustrated with graphical examples and software screenshots.
The principles learned are then applied using Movavi Video Suite - a multimedia toolkit which combines a number of utilities for processing and managing media files on a PC: video converter, video editor, slideshow creator, DVD/Blu-ray burner, screen/game capturing tool, and more. The book explains how to use Video Suite’s visual effects and auto filters to improve video quality and color correction, and describes the process of using titles and audio recording.
The second part of the book is divided into five step-by-step tutorials on shooting and editing popular types of home movies: a children’s party, a family get-together, a video e-card, a travelogue, and a wedding video. The tutorials can be read sequentially or individually as needed. In addition to the tips on using Movavi Video Suite, the book includes practical advice for beginners shooting footage outdoors or at an event.
The final part of the book provides guidance on transferring videos from camera to hard drive for further editing, DVD burning, and uploading online.
"Movavi’s programs are designed for people who want to get high quality results in a short period of time and without the complexities of professional video software,” says Oleg Burkov, the book’s author. “That is why we to collect in a single resource valuable advice for beginner videographers so that they can learn how to edit and improve their videos quickly and efficiently. Readers can dip into the book to find just the information they need for a particular task - just take a quick look through the appropriate guidelines before taking the camera out to remember tips to get the best quality footage."
