VideoStitch Unveils Stunning 360-degree Live Video Technology
San Francisco, CA, November 5, 2014 - VideoStitch, the leading European start-up offering solutions to stitch and produce panoramic videos, announced today the launch of their software and technology to create 360-degree live videos.
Red Bull has been testing the technology for the past 6 months and gives its impression on it: “We chose to work with VideoStitch because, after seeing their capabilities, we knew we could really build something great. Through our work together I've seen firsthand what differentiates their product in the market place. This knowledge reinforces my decision to work with them. VideoStitch's commitment to quality and drive for innovation have made them a strong partner in furthering how stories are told and experienced”, says Andrew Gomez, Global Digital Sports Marketing, Red Bull GmbH.
VideoStitch's software, Vahana VR, takes multiple cameras and creates a single high-resolution panoramic video in real-time, covering up to 360x360 degrees, with no blind spots.
Vahana VR is the world's first versatile 4K Live 360-degree video production solution. Producers and broadcasters are now able to stream live action content directly into virtual reality headsets (Oculus VR, Samsung Gear VR, Google Cardboard) or for second-screen experiences. VideoStitch supports virtually any camera, so one’s can even go DIY and develop the solution that fits his specific project’s requirements.
“We are not a hardware company, we don’t provide 360-degrees cameras, and that is our strength,” explains Nicolas Burtey, VideoStitch CEO. “We can focus on what we are the best at: the software! And our technology can definitely be used by companies that want to create their own 360-degree cameras, as we offer a better quality and resolution than what already exists on this market”, adds Burtey.
Created in 2012 by Nicolas Burtey, VideoStitch is an independent and self-funded company, headquartered in Paris. VideoStitch‘s mission is to provide the best software and solutions to stitch and produce high-resolution 360-degrees videos. The software, Vahana VR, is available worlwide. VideoStitch already works with more than 300 clients in 40 countries, 50% of them being based in the US.
