New Media Conversion Features

The updated Movavi converter app focuses on keeping the quality of video while providing the highest possible processing speed. The range of upscale presets will help users turn regular SD files into HD or Full HD videos even with small improvements in quality. Users can also easily process 4K videos , as well as save videos in 4K Ultra HD resolution as .mpg, .mp4, or .webm files.

In addition to technical and speed gains, the converter helps to improve video parameters with the Magic Enhance auto filter and the ability to manually adjust Contrast, Hue, Saturation, and Brightness. Users can also normalize sound, add text watermarks or graphic logos, and incorporate closed captions with flexible character encoding.

As well as video, audio, and unprotected DVDs, users can also convert images between JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, and other popular formats, so Tumblr, Google+ and image board users can enjoy video to animated GIF conversion.




Video Editing: Slow Motion and New Special Effects

The core of the Video Suite package, Movavi Video Editor, now offers a Slow Motion feature that slows down video footage up to 10x, with or without Motion blur. The choice of special effects available from the box is also extended with 10 new items: Tilt Shift, Pop Art Wall, VHS, Bokeh Blur, Vertigo, Oil Painting, and more.

One effect that proved particularly popular with beta testers is the Falling Objects effect, which gives users a choice of 30 different animated figures to overlay onto videos - stars, hearts, snowflakes, Christmas tree ornaments, and many more.

Video enthusiasts will also appreciate new titling options, which now include variably shaped backgrounds, new animation styles, frame rotation, and easy font size changes. Other improvements in the editing application include greater stability, automatic deinterlacing for MPEG files, and a number of smaller user interface improvements.

Online Phone Capture, Smarter Capture Area

The screencasting tool now offers the ability to capture system sounds and the microphone audio channel simultaneously. This enables users to easily save online conference calls, Skype video chats, or an interactive webinars, and save them for later viewing on any device by saving it in the appropriate video format, audio-only file, or GIF animation.

Other useful options include the ability to quickly trim recorded footage before saving, capture keyboard actions (which can be extremely helpful for video tutorials), grab screenshots during screen recording, the use of mouse cursor highlight effects, and choosing capture frame sizes designed specifically for YouTube player standard resolutions.
