Online Video Service Pairs Up With AOL - The migration of television to the Internet is getting another boost with a deal that gives Web video startup Brightcove Networks Inc. a foothold on AOL's Web portal. The announcement by Brightcove, whose rivals include San Mateo, Calif.-based Akimbo Systems Inc. and a startup called DaveTV, come just a week after AOL said it would join Warner Bros. to make dozens of old television shows available online and free-of-charge on a new broadband network called In2TV.
Fox to Offer Movies Online Via Movielink Movielink, a joint venture of five Hollywood studios to offer movies over the Internet, has signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox, allowing it to offer movies from all major studios for the first time.
