Welcome to the end of September. It's been a hectic month with natural disasters sweeping across the southern part of the US and confusing elections in Europe. The good news is that there are lots of new contests and opportunities popping up for you to make money with your videos. See below for some new contests with big cash prizes and as well as some new web sites that will post and share your video for free.

A fringe German anarchist party has outraged national television audiences with its election campaign television spot -- a video montage of booze-fuelled chaos, syringe needles and men cavorting with topless women. An estimated one million viewers watched the German Anarchist Pogo Party's already heavily censored political broadcast when it was shown for the first time. GOOD STUFF: The story of a man, a dream and a whole lotta kites" was the winner of the Budweiser Filmmaker Discovery Award for the second season at TriggerStreet (2005). This short 9 minute film documentary is very inspirational and quite well made. Go to the TriggerStreet site (sign up if you are not already a member) and then go to Short Films - Season 2 - Overall Winner. By the way, if you are a filmmaker, they are looking for submissions for the next season.

Sometimes you don't need lots of bells & whistles to have a great online video site. Sometimes plain, simple and to the point seems to work best. Check out INDICANA. This no nonsense site delivers random slices of Indian life, complete with sights & sounds in short, interesting video clips from all over the country. If you like watching TV news - over the Internet, you'll love Reuters news service videos. You go to the Reuters site and then scroll down the left side until you get to video. Powered by the FeedRoom, you can get breaking news and video features from all over the world. You can pick from a great selection of channels including Business, US, International, Politics, Sports, Oddly Enough, Weather, Life & Leisure, etc. The video looks great. Big-Boys.com first annual college video contest is underway. As students head back to school from their summer vacations, Big-Boys is offering them an opportunity to cash in on their memorable college moments - by capturing those moments on video, and submitting them to Big-Boys.com. Big-Boys will pay over $20,000 for original videos in just the fall quarter alone, and will also bring celebrity status to the creators and stars of the videos themselves.
