LEAD Capture & Convert is a very cool product for capturing and converting video, audio and graphics programs and files.  In many ways this is a video editing program which does everything except edit and trim clips ? you can capture video, add effects and text, and then output it in a variety of formats as well as extract still images from video and convert video, audio and graphic files. There's an old rock & roll biz joke - are you a musician or are you a drummer? Don't beat on me, mr percussion, I just tell the jokes. Anyhow, if you have any interest at all in rock & roll or drumming, you got to go visit the World's Fastest Drummer web site. It's an Extreme sport where they are searching for the world's fastest drummers. They got lots of videos and you have to see Jason Farmer: The Freddie Krueger of Drumming.
 
Video Blogging or vlogs are becoming hot and sexy. You may have seen or heard about the hundreds of tsunami videos that popped up on vlogs worldwide. Others are using vlogs to promote their artistic and create visions and productions. Check out Human Dog. Other cool video blogging sites include Onetrick.net, Vogner, Vidblogs.com and Daily Experience
 
Do you like to go faster? Are you into road racing and the people who do it? Check out the Faster web site - built to market two movies - "Faster" and "Faster & Faster". This is a great use of the web and Internet video to promote and market a film project.
 
Looking for some hilarious videos? Check out Moronland.com - they have tons of funny commercials from throughout the world. "The Web's Best Morons under One Roof"

 
Russell Hunt is a video producer who deserves a bit of recognition and the spotlight. His site, www.rougemontfilms.com offers a very interesting assortment of short flicks ranging in quality from inspiringly amateurish to professionally thought provoking. Definitely worth checking out. 
 
OK. So you think you are funny. You've written a script with lots of funny skits, got a bunch of your buddies to appear in it, and then transformed the written words into a cool half hour pilot video. Now what? Stick it on the Internet and see if you can become famous. Check out Brian Anderson's web site and his newest production, "No Soliciting".
 
Are you into poker? Do you like playing with friends? Like going to casinos or do you play online? Check out Poker Updates TV. This is an extremely well produced and informative online TV show that is all about poker - the business, the game, and how to play. If you love gaming, you'll love this show.
 
Looking for some short and funny video clips that you may not see anywhere else? Check out the Weird Clicks page at www.Lafflink.com. Runs the gamut from political to slightly adult in content.

"Virus" by Simon Hynd is really scary and spooky - especially if you are into computers, Internet videos and murder. Great concept - wonderful production - this is the kind of virus even Norton and McAfee can't deal with.

These two films are quite interesting - Top Hat and The Jacket - by Dorothy Schafer, Rachel Tucker and Lawrence Furman. Great acting, good writing and direction. This is another very interesting use of the web to promote acting and production skills.
 
 Maybe we should start a category for the cutest and cheeziest videos of the week? Check this out - if you love little kitty cats and kittens and babies - you will love this.

If you need to laugh, you might want to check out these two funny videos from Lenny Boudreau. "The North Pole Dance" is a Santa related video (not for young kids who still believe) and "Zolift", a very dry but accurate take-off on the Zoloft TV ads.  What would you do if you were on the job, looking for drunks and speeders, and you had to pull over Santa Claus? Check out this short animated video. It's a great take-off on COPS. Maybe you shouldn't show this to your little ones...
