Internet Video Magazine Newsletter - February 2006
This year is starting off with a bang. CES is
over and now many of us can look forward to NAB and other media
shows and conferences. The convergence of television, video,
telephony and the Internet is coming to a head as the dividing
lines between these various arts, industries and technologies
begin to disappear and it all becomes one.
For instance, Super Bowl commercials. Even though many millions
of people watched the game worldwide and experienced the
commercials in real-time between the breaks in the action, I bet
that many millions more accessed the commercials later, over the
net, from many of the web sites that have collected and posted
these ads.

announced the immediate availability of Vlog It to help users
quickly and easily add video to their blog, or create a "vlog,"
in minutes. "Text blogs have given people a great way to share
their personal thoughts, opinions and news with others online,"
said Mark Randall, president and Chief Magician of Serious
Magic, a leading developer of next-generation video software and
communications tools for business, consumer, educational and
professional markets. "Vlog It adds a new dimension by letting
bloggers

Get in the Game with Online Video Ads.
If 2005 was the year online video advertising began to garner
attention, then 2006 will be the year that it is truly embraced.
The catalysts causing the media and marketing communities to sit
up and take notice include bold moves by online media giants
like AOL, Yahoo! and Google; online publishers' shift from
traditional text-and-graphics content to more video-centric
strategies and creative video initiatives by leading marketers.
What 2006 will also demonstrate is the continuing decline of
television advertising and the realization that traditional
internet advertising is breaking down fast. But don't start
crying about it just yet. Online video advertising offers an
effective alternative that addresses these industry ailments.
This article discusses why you should create engaging and
effective online campaigns using video, and suggests some useful
strategies for doing so.
